State Street to temporarily close to construct pedestrian bridge
JACKSON, MS (MSNewsNow) - The City of Jackson has announced a section of State Street in front of Baptist Medical Center will be temporarily closed this weekend.
State Street between Manship Street and Poplar Boulevard will be closed in both directions from 11 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Construction crews will be building a pedestrian bridge over State Street to connect the hospital with the new medical office building across the street.
A detour will be posted for traffic along Poplar Boulevard, North Street and Manship Street.
