City of Jackson offering amnesty days this week | News

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The City of Jackson Municipal Court Services two-day Amnesty Program is Thursday and Friday.

From 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on these days, citizens will have the opportunity to pay tickets, court imposed fines, and court costs with warrants and administration fees waived for each violation.

Traffic cases and misdemeanors, with the exception of DUI, domestic violence, crimes involving weapons and crimes against another person, can be resolved, according to the city.

Residents are asked to bring photo identification and a copy of the ticket to court services at 327 E. Pascagoula St.

Last year's Amnesty Program yielded a record breaking $316,365, according to the city.
