City of Jackson Recycle Day Aug. 25 | Environment

The City of Jackson is holding a recycling day Saturday, Aug. 25, to help residents dispose dangerous household waste safely.

The event is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Battlefield Park, which is at the corner of Highway 80 and Terry Road in Jackson.

Household hazerdous waste, electronics and used tires will be accepted at the site. Examples of these items include:

• Antifreeze
• Pesticides/insecticides
• Oils/gas (liquid)
• Lawn and garden chemicals
• Paint
• Batteries
• Photographic chemicals
• Propane Tanks
• Computers
• Televisions
• VCRS
• printers/keyborads
