Color Me Rad 5K coming to Jackson | Community Spirit

Color Me Rad, a nationally recognized 5k run and walk, makes its way to Fondren on Saturday, March 23, as part of Zippity Doo Dah weekend. The run benefits Friends of Children’s Hospital and the patients of Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital.

Adults and children alike run or walk through Fondren to be “color bombed” at each kilometer! “The result is a neighborhood washed in a rainbow of colors,” said Jim Wilkirson, Fondren Renaissance Executive Director. The colored dust is made of FDA approved colored cornstarch, and washes off in the shower.

Online registration for the Jackson date begins in two weeks at colormerad.com. Participants must enter a special password, which will be available at ZippityDooDah.com, for 20% of their fees to be donated to Friends of Children’s Hospital.
