5th annual Red White & Jackson Thursday
The Jackson Chamber of Commerce's 5th annual Red White & Jackson is Thursday in Downtown Jackson.
Red White & Jackson will begin with free food, beverages and live entertainment by Jason Turner Band from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Smith Park in Downtown Jackson.
Then from 7-9 p.m., the event will move to State Street at Capitol and Amite (in front of the Old Capitol Museum) where the community will be treated to:
- A fireworks show
- Food vendors. Food plates will be available for purchase for $5 (and up).
- Children activities including: crafts, space jumps, face painting and rock wall
- The Old Capitol museum will be open from 5- 8 p.m. and will feature children's activities with a patriotic theme. No food or drinks are allowed in the building.
- Patriotic singing by the First Baptist Church of Jackson and Anderson Sanctuary Choir.
- Safety information booths and displays provided by Jackson Fire Department, Jackson Police
