Jobs for Jacksonians job fair Wednesday | Business

Nearly 100 vendors will be on hand Wednesday to discuss job opportunities at the second annual Job for Jacksonians Job Fair & Business Engagement Summit.

Jackson residents, who are seeking employment, are encouraged to attend the event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jackson Medical Mall.

There will be service providers on hand to conduct interviews, conduct resume writing seminars and share best practice tips to improve college preparedness. Local colleges and junior colleges will also be at the event to discuss educational opportunities.

Attendees will have the chance to register with the city for future opportunities with the Jobs for Jacksonians Coordinator.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., United Way of the Capital Area will conduct the Business Engagement Summit portion of the event for local high school students.

Additional parking will be available at the Old Farmer Market located on N. West Street and the old Pepsi Building on Medgar Evers Boulevard. Shuttle busses will be provided.
