WellsFest to benefit Farish Street YMCA Saturday | Arts & Culture

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - WellsFest 2012 is this weekend at Jamie Fowler Boyll Park next to Smith-Wills Stadium on Lakeland Drive.
The event will raise money for the renovation of the Farish Street YMCA playground.
WellsFest includes a 5K run and walk and one-mile fun run at 8 a.m., a pet parade at 9 a.m. and live music, food booths, children's activities, arts and crafts vendor area, plant sale and silent auction from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Nashville singer-songwriter Mac McAnally will headline this year's event at 2 p.m.
McAnally, who grew up in Mississippi, is a four-time winner of the Country Music Association's Musician of the Year Award, a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and Grammy nominee. He will be joined by Jackson harmonica player Greg "Fingers" Taylor at WellsFest.
