Mississippi State Fair entertainment lineup announced | Arts & Culture

The Mississippi State Fair Commission released the entertainment lineup for this year's fair on its Facebook page Wednesday.

The state fair starts Wednesday, Oct. 3, and runs through Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds in Jackson.

Here's the 2012 lineup from the fair commission:

• Oct. 3 - Thompson Square
• Oct. 4 - Keith Sweat
• Oct. 5 - Hinder
• Oct. 7 - Heavenly Wonders
• Oct. 8 - Don Felder (Formerly with the Eagles)
• Oct. 9 - Loretta Lynn
• Oct. 10 - Chubby Checker
• Oct. 11 - En Vogue
• Oct. 12 - Texaco Country Showdown

All shows will be in the pavilion on the fairgrounds and are free.

Brantley Gilbert will also be performing in the Mississippi Coliseum during the fair. The Oct. 13 performance is part of the Hell on Wheels Tour with special guests Uncle Kracker, Greg Bates and Brian Davis. Tickets will go on sale soon.
