Appetite for Jackson is Saturday from 2-9 p.m. in Downtown Jackson.
Local restaurants will showcase their talents and bands with play throughout the day in the new Art Garden at the Mississippi Museum of Art.
The event will also feature an appearance by the Travel Channel's Andrew Zimmern who is in town shooting an episode of Appetite for Life with Andrew Zimmern.
Participating restaurants include Parlor Market, Underground 119, Peaches, Lumpkins Barbeque, the King Edward Grill, The Palette Café by Viking and many more.
Bands wills start playing at 2 p.m.. The lineup includes:
- Jewell Bass
- Taylor Trio
- Bailey Brothers
- Southern Komfort Brass Band
- Spacewolf
- Furrows
- Dead Gaze
Admission is free to enjoy musical talents. Food plates from participating restaurants are $5. Craft beer will also be available from Capital City Beverages.
Proceeds will benefit Craig Noone's Rock It Out Scholarship. Noone, a local restaurateur and owner of Parlor Market, was killed in a car accident in October.
